Stud Peterhof goes Hollywood

Stud Peterhof, one of the most beautiful riding and breeding facilities ever and the home of the star sire Sezuan, becomes a movie set.

The Rich and Famous Film GmbH, together with the Concorde Filmverleih and the Tele Muenchen Group, is currently shooting the modern adaptation "Immenhof - The Adventure of a Summer" (German:"Immenhof – Das Abenteuer eines Sommers") on the more than 30 hectare big stud in Perl-Borg, Saarland. Eleven days of shooting are set for the story of the main character Lou (Leia Holtwick), her siblings Charly (Laura Berlin) and Emmie (Ella Paeffgen) as well as the young Youtuber Leon (Moritz Baeckerling) and opponent Jochen Mallinchroth (Heiner Lauterbach). "We were so surprised and of course very proud when the request came," Arlette Jasper-Kohl and her husband Professor Edwin Kohl explain. After all, the author and director Sharon von Wietersheim and the producer Frank Meiling had inspected well over 100 equestrian facilities in Germany and abroad to find the right ambience for the popular cinema series. And does Sezuan also have an, perhaps even supporting role? "No, the film team uses its own, specially trained horses. Our horses and employees are only occasionally seen as extras in the picture," Arlette Jasper-Kohl and Professor Edwin Kohl smile. The planned release for the German-Belgian co-production, which is supported by the FilmFernsehFonds Bavaria, the Mitteldeutsche Medienfoerderung, the Bavarian Bank Fund, the German Film Fund, Saarland Media, Sceen Flanders and the Belgian Tax Shelter, will be in spring 2019.
