Perl-Borg: Sezuan 2019 only in Frozen Semen

"Sezuan should be able to concentrate on his sporting career", Arlette Jasper-Kohl and Professor Edwin Kohl explain the decision to offer their three-time World Champion dressage horse Sezuan from now on only via Frozen Semen.

"In the past, there was strong demand from breeders worldwide. This was a strong double burden. We don't want to impose this on Sezuan on the way to the Grand Prix. The well-being of our horses has always been our top priority. And for this reason we ask our breeders for their understanding that we only keep Frozen Semen from Sezuan".

The distribution of the frozen semen is done by the community stallion stations Paul Schockemöhle and Andreas Helgstrand for Gestüt Peterhof. "Since Sezuan is no longer being collected from us, the operation of our EU insemination station here in Perl-Borg is no longer necessary", explain Arlette Jasper-Kohl and Professor Edwin Kohl.

Sezuan, who was in 2014, 2015 and 2016 the first stallion ever to achieve triple gold at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses and achieved victories in the international Small Tour under his trainer Dorothee Schneider, is now being prepared by Patrik Kittel/SWE for his first starts in the Grand Prix arena.

With his offspring the son by Zack out of a mother by Don Schufro dominates the scene. More than 20 of his sons have been licensed, including the Hanoverian stallion market price record holder and winner of German Championship So Unique, the vice winner of German Championship  Secret, the two-time stallion performance test winner Sezuan's Donnerhall and the Oldenburg premium stallion out of the breed of Arlette Jasper-Kohl and Professor Edwin Kohl, Sam. His sporting offspring, such as the South German Vice Champion and third at the German Championship, Spectre, and Sazou, who was also placed at the German Championship, are starting promisingly in sport.

Through Paul Schockemöhle's and Andreas Helgstrand's station, Sezuan will continue to be at the breeder's disposal both nationally and internationally, but will now be able to use his strengths to his full potential in sport. Arlette Jasper-Kohl and Professor Edwin Kohl: "We are very pleased to have found this solution in the spirit of our stallion".
